Each act lasts until you defeat its boss, who arrives at 7:00. The armies grow as the clock runs, blue champion packs and named officers with special powers roam the field, and great hosts arrive late in each act. The first two minutes are gentle so you level fast. After that the War Director watches you: take little damage or stand still and battle heat sends stronger troops, arrow volleys and enemy generals (mini-bosses with telegraphed slams and charges), with more experience and loot as the reward. Every blow also costs a share of your maximum life, so you can never just stand and tank. Struggle, and the pressure eases and a healing draught appears.

Marks a line and charges along it on the Red Hare, then spins his halberd in a wide circle. Step sideways out of the red line and away from the ring. Sends Xiliang cavalry charges.

Orders arrow rain on red circles, fires fans of sword waves and sends the Tiger and Leopard Cavalry across the field. Bring area skills and armor.
